The Commercial Landlord Hardship Fund is available to eligible landlords who provided rent relief to retail or commercial tenants and have experienced financial hardship as a result.
This grants of up to $3000 per month per property are available to those commercial landlords who provided rental waivers from 1 August 2021 to 13 January 2022. However, the rent waived must comprise at least half of any rental reduction provided.
Grants will be paid as a lump sum amount for the rent waived from:
- 1 August to 14 November 2021
- 15 November 2021 to 13 January 2022
- 14 January to 13 March 2022, subject to a separate application. Applications for this period will open from late March 2022.
